Life EMS, based in Enid, Oklahoma is a sophisticated advanced life support ambulance provider. The company has enjoyed the longstanding loyalty of a number of talented managers and has grown from the very small organization it was in the early seventies to one of the most respected, award winning ambulance services in the State. Life EMS has stayed abreast of dynamic changes in EMS during the last thirty-six years and takes pride in discovering, purchasing and implementing “leading edge” technologies and clinical innovations that benefit patients.

Long Distance / Non-emergent Ambulance Services

• Enid, Oklahoma
• Stillwater, Oklahoma Hennessey, Oklahoma
• Garfield, Payne, Alfalfa, Major, and Kingfisher Counties

ALS (9-1-1) and routine ambulance services

• All Life staffs all EMS 9-1-1 and non-emergency ambulances at the ALS paramedic team level
• ALS responders perform invasive and non-invasive procedures including protocol driven administration of ALS pharmaceuticals, advanced airway tracheal intubation, cardiac monitoring and defibrillation.

Basic Life Support

• Our BLS ambulance EMT team offers a basic level of medical care for some special event medical standby assignments.
• Life EMS’ Wheelchair operation, Uplift, staffs an EMT for all wheelchair van transports.
• EMTs monitor a stable patient’s vital signs, administer oxygen and perform other basic interventions. They are trained to recognize a life threatening situation and to provide basic airway, CPR and other lifesaving treatments until advanced help is available.

Specialty Care Transport (Critical Care Transport)

• Life EMS offers state credentialed Critical Care Paramedics for patients whose medical conditions require skill levels beyond that of an ALS ambulance.

Long-distance Ambulance Transport

• Life EMS transports hundreds of non-emergency patients from its service area into Tulsa and Oklahoma City as well as other long distance destinations annually.

Special Event Medical Standby Services

• Life EMS offers ALS and BLS medical standby services for the community during sporting events, festivals, fairs and holidays. We also offer standbys during public safety events. Contact us if you require standby service at your event.

Paramedics

Life EMS paramedics report to the operations director and clinical coordinator. Paramedics are considered the senior crew members on an ambulance and are responsible for the care and transportation of the EMS system’s 9-1-1 patients and transporting ALS and BLS inter-facility patients. Adhering to all regulations and protocols affecting the company and its service areas, paramedics are also responsible for maintaining all clinical certifications, demonstrating knowledge of approved treatment protocols for each service area, and demonstrating a working knowledge of the ambulance and onboard equipment

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)

Reporting to the operations director and operations manager who serve as field supervisors, Life EMS EMTs are responsible for the care and transportation of 9-1-1 patients and inter-facility patients. EMTs are responsible and accountable for adhering to all service areas’ regulations regarding the transportation of patients. They must also maintain all EMT-level clinical certifications, demonstrating knowledge of protocols in Life EMS’ service areas, a working knowledge of the ambulance, and proficiency with all onboard equipment.

 

ACCUFILE, INC.

Accufile, Inc. is Life EMS’ sister company. Accufile, Inc. performs billing and collections services for scores of transporting EMS agencies, volunteer EMS services and private ambulance services in Oklahoma. Charges for ambulance services are established with a fee schedule approved by individual ambulance providers. Accufile processes invoices for its clients in a timely manner billing all accounts in compliance with State Medicaid and Federal Law observing both privacy and security HIPAA guidelines.

IB BRACELET

Learn More About Invisible Bracelet (iB)!

• Protect your information safely.
• Reach your In Case of Emergency contacts faster.
• Notify your In Case of Emergency (ICE) contacts if transported to a medical facility by text, phone messages or email.

The iB is a worn or wallet-carried notification telling EMS crews that the iB wearing/9-1-1 patient has an “invisible bracelet." As such, the “wearer” is registered in a national data bank that documents the patient’s pre-authorized permissions and contact information as well as pertinent health information that can be immediately accessed via the Internet.

Life EMS care providers all meet licensing, training and certification requirements for the iB BRACELET. This ensures that only qualified medics are authorized to access your account and only during a medical emergency.

All Life EMS employees have received in-service training on how to look for and access iB bracelet information. We encourage you to sign-up here.

LIFE EMS MEMBERSHIP

You can be a Life EMS member. Pay a nominal annual fee ($60.00 per family) to avoid paying any portion of an ambulance bill your insurance(s) does not or will not pay. Life EMS operates a very successful ambulance membership program, (Life EMS Membership Program). It was first offered in 1967. Currently, the membership program is available for the residents of Garfield County and for the City of Hennessey and for those living in Western Payne County.
